The title has been translated as "Yuri Spirits on the Roof," but with yurirei an pun with yuurei, maybe someone can come up with something better.

The trial for this game was released 2/08, and the full version will come out at the end of March, 3/30. Published by Liar-soft,the same group who did Sapphism no Gensou, but the tone for this is decidedly more light and mellow.

Link to Trial: http://www.liar.co.jp/yuri_op.htm or http://www.mediafire.com/?0ix66brizzlkgqb

Plot: This story takes place in an all-girls school. The main character meets two playful spirits on the roof of her school, who are unable to move on to heaven because they weren't able to consummate their love when alive. They enlist the MC's help get couples in her school together (or in their words, create a yuritopia).

I'm really interested in translating this one. I played the trial and it's absolutely gorgeous. I'll get to this once I'm done with my other TL job at Sono Hana 6.

I'd also like to translate this, if @fkeroge will have me.

I would have to prioritize Sono Hanabira 6 though. I don't think I can start with this one as long as I'm not done with SH6. Still, I would be very happy to have you on board.

Fair enough, in fact it seems the SonoHana series are taking the highest priority here. I don't mind putting this on the backburner and helping finish off the SonoHana games instead.

I'm excited that there's interest in this project; thanks @fkeroge and deltacake. Let me know where I can help out, though I'll probably be limited to proofreading scripts and menu/image text editing.

No particular rush with this project, since the full version isn't even out. Work on it when you can, if you want to take a break from SH6, etc.

I like the music in this game. It suits it well. My favorite track is 07 シバXゼリ, and I'm listening to it now. It's pretty good.

I have to say I'm also really enjoying this game. I don't actually like that the game forces you to explore every relationship in order to progress. There're some couples I just don't care about. Others that I've warmed up to in time. It's strange how the protagonist is... <spoiler>.

Anyway, halfway through it, and there've been some pretty interests events. I'm not sure how my choices affect things, but it'll be interesting how things turn out at the end.

Btw, how long would a game like this take to translate? There's only really one part (scene) in the stuff I've played through that I didn't properly get. It was the one between Yuna and Miki Aihara, in the classroom. The exchange just seemed to talk in circles, and then, some kind of subtle point. Even viewing things from both perspectives didn't make it any clearer.

So, I guess that's one area I'd like to see translated. :) But, I imagine this game doesn't have a lot of play-throughs in it.

Anyway, back to playing.

Can anyone Give Me agth code for this VN? 0,0

>> No.943

>>940

Agth code? Why do you need one? I'm using ITH, and the text is captured without issue just by default. I haven't tried AGTH, but perhaps you should try ITH?

Anyway, I've just finished this game. It's good. I have a new favorite track, the closing one. It's longer than the intro, and has a good vibe to it.

As for the game, I'd give it a solid 8/10. I'm actually still going through the bonus stories, but I don't think they'll alter the score.

They only negatives for me where that your choices didn't really affect anything: there's only one story, and one way to tell it. That story is quite intricate, and well told. Somewhat repetitive due to multiple-perspectives of certain scenes. There weren't too many loose threads in the end, and it was a pretty lovely story. Oh, and I have to say there's some nice themes that come up in it. Enjoyable and interesting.

And, the other negative was the part where you have to go through all the events to progress. That really got frustrating toward the end.

It frustrated me that there was only one ending too, I'm thinking mostly because I wanted the protagonist to end up with someone else, rather than who she got. Mostly, it's a voyeuristic game, a window into the lives of couples, and in the end, the play is merely left to spy on the protagonist's life as well.

Still, good game. Probably worth translating, considering that there isn't all that many yuri games out there. This one, being quite good.

Oh, and if anyone wants to discuss it with me, I might stop back in a bit.

Who's played it? Back to listening to the tracks again...

>It frustrated me that there was only one ending too, I'm thinking mostly because I wanted the protagonist to end up with someone else, rather than who she got.

I completely agree.
I'm not through yet, but I'd rather translate some of the other couples stories when things get started.

Umm, more like it's still awaiting an actual start date.

It seems like an age ago since I played this game. It was OK at the time, but the ending didn't leave a good impression on me, so I'm not sure I'll ever go back and replay it. I wonder if that's common at all?

Anyway, there aren't that many proper yuri games, so may just be a matter of time, hey?

Hello. I'm new to this site, and I've a few questions. First off though, I've picked up translating Yurirei and I hope to keep going with it as long as I'm able. That being said, what's Yuri Project's policy towards people picking up projects? Is a post of intention to translate here enough to get a project started? Also, what do I do if I run into a portion of text that I'm not sure how to translate? Is there someone here I can ask for a second opinion?

>> No.2481

>>2480

>That being said, what's Yuri Project's policy towards people picking up projects?

That is strongly encouraged.

>Is a post of intention to translate here enough to get a project started?

Well, technically the project was sort of started with the thread and wiki page being made, and the script extracted... But yes. Just announcing that you're going to translate something is enough.

>Also, what do I do if I run into a portion of text that I'm not sure how to translate? Is there someone here I can ask for a second opinion?

You could ask in this thread, which would take a while. You could also try our IRC channel (which I've seen you did. I was asleep right when you did you could try swinging around again), although that chat sees very little activity.

Also, it'd be good for you to register an account for the wiki page. It'd be good if you could edit in stuff you've translated in the script on the wiki.

>> No.2483

Thanks for the quick response. I've just one more question. Does Yuri Project prioritize direct Japanese translations or can I take liberties when the translation would otherwise sound awkward?

A quick example would be: まぁ、今まで残してきたことなんてほとんどないんだけど.

Which translates to: "Well, not that she left behind food that often up until now."

Which I think sounds more natural as: "Well, not that she leaves behind food that regularly."

>> No.2484

>>2483
Do take liberties.

I actually just finished playing this game completely.

I actually found it better then the Sono Hana games! (the ones I've played so far, as least) It focuses much more on the relationship and less on the H.

However, since there are like 6+ couplings happening at the same time, its NOT going to be easy to translate at all. Took me awhile just to get used to having so many characters.

Unfortunately given my schedule I can't translate. Good luck to whoever does it!

>> No.2876

Ooh, someone is translating. Good luck!

I can check your work, but since I rely on Mecab and a list of particles to translate, you might be better off without me.
